We have 90 different stories in our New
Hope children’s Home and New Horizon’s Children’s Home. Children
in this Home get up at 5.30am and begin their day with devotion
thanking the Lord for the new day and asking him for the protection for
the remaining day. Then they spend their time in study and go to the
school in a van. This van carries 15 to 17 children in one trip
so there would be 8 trips in a day. Children are studying in
Mariyanikethan School which is one of the reputed schools in
Bangalore. In the evening they come back from the school and go
for play. At 6pm they sit for tuitions and at 7pm they will have
evening devotions, followed by study and at 8.30pm they go to bed.
Some of the Children in the home are
highly talented. Stanish is an artist who got 1st prize in open
compition conducted by the Company. Karthic and Liliyan are
selected for soccer at the District level Juniors. Deepika is
emerging as a fabric designer. Gayathri is the top rank holder in the
school. Children got privilege to garland Bangalore Royal Challengers
IPL Cricket Team. Ganga gave a talk on Child Labor in FM Radio 92.7
along with bollywood actoress Priyanka Upendra. Children participated
in the Times of India Yoga classes. Once in a year Helping Hands
conducts sports day for the New Hope Children’s Home children. Twice in
a year they go to educational trip to different places.
We thank God that at present we could
rent a three-storey building for children. Through the generous help of
Mrs. Mickie and Dr. Max we could purchase 6 acres of land for the
children’s home in Chikkabalapura, which is 80 kilometers away from
Bangalore. We are planning to construct one Children’s Home and one
School. With the help of Le Ann and Team we have purchased a piece of
land in Manthralayam for 25 children. We laid a foundation and now the
work has begun.
Seven Fold Objectives are:
- To create ambitions in the child’s mind so that
one day the child will become a better citizen of India
- To provide best education to these children
- To take care of the physical, mental and
psychological growth
- To sow love in their hearts and facilitate them
to grow in brotherhood
- To identify these children’s talents and help
them to develop and use the same
- To conduct training programs, and counsel them
according to their needs
- To provide them space for the spiritual
nourishment
Thus New Hope Children Home aims to bring holistic
development in the children’s lives.
7Th Anniversary Celebration
and 15th August Celebration
New Hope Children Home begun on 23rd December 2001
with 10 children at present it caters 60 children in Bangalore and 48
Children at Manthralayam, Andhra Pradesh.
